Juurikkasaari beach terrace – Säynätsalo residents’ own living room

At the northern end of Juurikkasaari, right next to the guest boat pier, you´ll find our beach terrace, where you can enjoy the tasty dishes of the beach bar and grill. Juurikkasaari is also an environmentally friendly Roope harbour.

The Juurikkasaari beach terrace has been one of the most popular places to spend time in Säynätsalo for a few summers now! Many have even named the beach terrace ”Finland’s most beautiful terrace”, and not without a reason. In summer 2023, the title of the winner of the summer terrace voted by Suur-Jyväskylän Lehti came to Juurikkasaari.

In summer 2024, a new Art Gelato ice cream parlour has opened in the beach bar

Private events and weather may affect beach opening hours. We will inform about changes on the front pages of our website, in the News column and in our social media channels.

The Pommery’s Champagne Lounge is also located on the beach terrace, where you can also enjoy the brand’s sparkling wine by the glass.

From the beach bar we rent SUP boards, Indian canoes and 1- and 2-person kayaks for anyone interested in paddleboarding and boating. Renting takes place through Johku.

On the stage of the beach terrace, many artists and bands perform in the breathtakingly magnificent scenery of Lake Päijänne.

Next to the beach terrace is our guest boat dock, which welcomes boaters arriving by water
