The greenery areas of Juurikkasaari – an ideal milieu for outdoor concerts and events. 

Juurikkasaari has plenty of green areas to organize huge concerts. The island can hold up to 1,500 people. Many people have been able to enjoy these wonderful open-air concerts several summers in a row, performed by Finland’s leading artists and performers – and there is more to come! The Pavilion’s covered terrace provides protection even in the case of unexpected rain. 

The entire area of Juurikkasaari is counted as ”drinking area” so customers can move around the island with the drink of their choice freely during concerts and other things. As long as you don’t Leave the area of Juurikkasaari. Own drinks are also not allowed. 

Juurikkasaari has a sandy beach good for families with smaller children to swim in, and a platform near the sauna good for taking a swim in too. 

Our guest boat dock is made for every boater and ship passenger arriving via Päijänne! It’s also possible to stay overnight in the dock area with your boat.
